Native Colombian photographer Ivan Sanchez has been capturing the essence of La Guajira for over eight years.

Sanchez developed a deep connection to the
region’s spirit from its landscape to its people, imbuing his work with the customs and traditions that make it so unique.

“Photography is not looking; it is feeling. You must feel everything around you to make others feel something when they see your work. Being with thousands of people with many stories, faces, and feelings is a great responsibility. Your heart and your camera know it. You must feel what they feel.”

It’s an honour to bring Ivan Sanchez’s work to Canada for the first time.
